The Smithfield Police Department is holding a TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) class on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m. The cost for the class is $17. Cash or checks can be made be made payable to the Smithfield Police Department. Anyone who wishes to attend the class should call Officer Braxton at 231-2500 ext. 202.
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental “people skills” of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol.
