The Town of Smithfield is utilizing a web based process to auction off Surplus Equipment and Vehicles. Town departments utilize GovDeals.com as our on-line clearinghouse for all of its surplus equipment and vehicles.
The public is invited to browse our offerings as well as those of nearly 5,000 other agencies within the nation who also utilize GovDeals.com. There is no charge to access the website or to register an account with GovDeals.com. There are only fees associated with items that have been won through the auction process. The winning bidder will be responsible for the removal of all items within 10 days of issuance of the buyer’s certificate.
GovDeals.com offers registered persons the ability to receive notification through email or text message for particular geographical areas or for items of interest.
