On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11:45 A.M., Smithfield Officers arrested Kellielyn Bianco, age 21, charging her with 1st Degree Robbery and Conspiracy and Kendra Bianco, age 19, both of 379 Douglas Pike Apt. #7, charging her with 1st Degree Robbery, ADW, Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Crime of Violence, Firing in a Compact Area and Conspiracy.
Smithfield Police responded to the Douglas Apartments at 379 Douglas Pike, for a reported Domestic Dispute. Officers arriving on scene were met in the parking lot by a male subject holding a shotgun. This male, age 33, of Warwick, told police he had been robbed and had struggled with the assailant, taking the firearm from her. According to this male, he had met Kellielyn walking on Douglas Pike and went back to the apartment and met her sister. The male stated he was distracted by Kendra and saw Kellielyn going through his things and taking his money. The male said he confronted Kellielyn and said he was calling the police, at which time Kendra pulled a shotgun out of the closet and pointed it at him. The male said he grabbed the end of the shotgun and it discharged striking the kitchen wall. The male was able to get the firearm away from Kendra and exited the apartment.
Officers located Kellielyn and Kendra in the adjacent woods, as they had fled the apartment prior to police arrival. Kellielyn and Kendra were held and brought before Bail Commissioner, Peter Hopkins. Kellielyn and Kendra were held without bail and remanded to the ACI.
On Monday, July 20, 2020, Kendra appeared before the Honorable Judge Elaine T. Bucci, and bail was set at $5,000 with surety, Kellielyn appeared before the Honorable Judge Anthony A. Capraro, and was held without bail.
