Two Arrested on Drug Possession w/Intent to Deliver Charges

On Tuesday, May 15th, 2018, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the Smithfield Police executed a search warrant at 9 Cedar Swamp Road, Copperfield’s Burger & Beer House.  A two month investigation, conducted by Smithfield Police Detectives, revealed that a female employee was selling cocaine from the establishment.

As a result, two individuals were arrested on scene and charged as follows:

Alaina C. Bonafiglia, age (33) thirty-three, of 5 Shari Drive, Johnston, charged with Possession of Cocaine w/Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cocaine, Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and Possession of Buprenorphine Hydrochloride and Naloxone Hydrochloride.

John F. Manfredi, age (39) thirty-nine, of 19 Sweetbriar Street, Providence, charged with Possession of Cocaine w/Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cocaine, and Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

Bonafiglia and Manfredi were held overnight to appear in Kent County District Court for arraignment.
